Grandma Adair Dead

Grandma Adair died at the home of her son, J.J. Rose, near Gillett Grove Saturday evening.

Mrs. Adair was born in Mercer county, Kentucky, March 4, 1828. She was raised there and married to John Rose who died many years ago. To this union was born one son, J.J. Rose, and three daughters, Mrs. N.J. Reeves of Farnham, Nebraska, Mrs. Ed. Brown of Denby, North Dakota, and Mrs. Laura Pelley of Spencer. She was again married to Alexander Adair and to them two children were born, Matt Adair of this city and Mrs. Jennie Hickman of Grand Junction, Colorado.

Mrs. Adair was a very religious woman and for years has been a member of the United Brethern church. She was well liked and loved by a large circle of friends. She has lived in this community for many years.

The funeral was held at the M.E. church in Dickens Tuesday afternoon, the services being conducted by Rev. G.I. Reeves of Hickman, Nebraska, and old friend of Mrs. Adair.
