Hubert Adams, 84, Webb, died Monday at Longhouse Residence in Spencer.

Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be Thursday at 10:30 am at the United Methodist Church in Webb, with the Rev. Judy DeWeber officiating

Casket Bearers will be his grandsons; Dan, Doug, Jeff Adams, Bruce Reese and Dennis and Mike Roberts.

Honorary Casket Bearers; Melvin Cornwell, Richard Edelman, Larry Graves, Dale Raper, Elwyn Rogers, Paul Swaim, Melvin Weber and Delbert Williams

Burial will be in Garfield Cemetery at Webb

The son of Hubert and Nancy (Mills) Adams, he was born Decemeber 10, 1904, in Douglas Township near Sioux Rapids. His family moved to Alliance, Nebraska when he was a child and it was there that he received his education, graduating in 1922.

Mr. Adams farmed for many years in the Webb area and operated a blacksmith shop there for many years.

He married Elsie McDaniel on the family farm near Rossie on November 24, 1929.

He enjoyed his family and friends, as well as fishing, gardening and cutting wood for kindling to use in his woodstove. He also drove the Webb School bus. He retired in 1971 and was a member of the Webb United Methodist Church.

Mr Adams was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, Duane and Pat of Council Bluffs and Richard and Millie of Fairmont, Minnesota; two daughters and their husbands; Marjorie and Russell Roberts of Sioux Rapids and Patricia and Ron Reese of Laurens; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers; Forrest and Lois of Spencer and Robert and Irene of Phoenix, Arizona
