Elsie Marjorie (McDaniel) Adams
February 6, 1911- June 17, 1991Elsie Adams, 80, of Sioux Rapids and formerly of Webb, died Monday, June 17, at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 am at the Trinity Methodist Church in Webb with the Rev. Clark Christian officiated.
Casket Bearers; Dan Adams, Doug Adams, Jeff Adams, Bruce Reese, Dennis Roberts, Kirk Russ and Mike Roberts
All friends and relatives will be considered honorary bearers
Burial will be in the Garfield Cemetery at Webb.
Elsie Marjorie Adams was born February 6, 1911 in Williston, North Dakota. She was an orphan who knew little about her infant years. She attended primary school in Webb and Cornell and graduated from Rossie in 1928. At the age of 13 she went to live with the only parents she knew, Wilson and Mabel McDaniel.
She married Hubert Mortenson Adams on November 24, 1929. They made their home in the Alliance, Nebraska, Cornell, Gillett Grove, Linn Grove , Marathon, Webb and Sioux Rapids areas.
She belonged to a doll club and the Cheerio Post Card Club.
She was baptized and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webb.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers-in-laws and a sister-in-law.
She is survived by two sons and their wives, Duane and Pat Adams of Council Bluffs and Richard and Millie Adams of Fairmont, Minnesota; two daughters and their husbands, Marjorie and Russell Roberts of Sioux Rapids and Pat and Ron Reese of Laurens; 20 grandchildren; on great-great-grandson; one brother and his wife, Dick and Charlyn McDaniel of Alta; and two brother-in-laws, Forrest and Lois Adams of Spencer and Robert and Irene Adams of Hamilton, Montana
