Hiram Fenega, father of Mrs. Katherine Corbett of Spencer, died at Colton, South Dakota, on February 14th, aged 70 years. He was born in Germany and emigrated with his wife to Iowa in 1880, locating at Guthrie Center. His wife died some thirty-five years ago. He continued to reside at Guthrie Center twenty years, and since then he has made his home with his children. Four years ago he was taken with heart trouble, which grew steadily worse until the end. Besides Mrs. Corbett of Spencer he left another daughter, Mr. O.A. Corbett of Colton. Rev. F.C. Taylor conducted the funeral services at the Doughty funeral parlors in Spencer at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Burial was at Riverside cemetery.
