INJURED IN AUTO ACCIDENT--DIES

RALPH HENRY MORROW DIES AS RESULT OF ACCIDENT DUT TO RECKLESS DRIVING

INJURED FRIDAY--DIED MONDAY

Funeral Services Held This Afternoon At Home In Sioux Township--Interment in Meadow Cemetery

Ralph Henry Morrow, son of the late T.M. Morrow, died about 1:00 o'clock Monday morning from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Friday night. Funeral services were held this afternoon at the family home in Sioux township and interment was made in the Meadow cemetery. Rev. Geo. Long, pastor of the First Congregational church of Dickens, was in charge of the services and preached the sermon.

The young man who was 18 years of age, was on his way from his home to Dickens, Friday evening, in his Ford car when the accident took place about a mile and a quarter from his home, about 40 rods south of the William Webber farm residence.

Neighbors say he was driving at a reckless rate of speed, in fact he was going so fast that the neighbors were watching him and saw the accident when it happened.

The car apparently hit a rut and lurched to one side, jumped off the grade and into the ditch, turning over several times. William Webber and Arthur Christianson and other neighbors were on the scene in a very few minutes. The young man was taken to the Arthur Christianson home, the nearest house. He died about 1:00 o'clock Monday morning. It is estimated he was driving the car at least 40 miles an hour when the accident happened.

Since the death of his father the latter part of last year, the young man has been operating the farm for his mother. His death will probably make it necessary for the mother and three other children to give up the farm and move to town. He was born March 24, 1900, in Sioux township.

The young man was injured about the head as well as internally. Medical assistance was called, but all efforts were useless to save his life.
