T.B. Secor Dead
Word was received in Spencer last week announcing the death of Theodore Secor at Montevideo, Minn., on Jan. 18th.
Theodore B. Secor was born in Racine, Wisconsin in 1852. He moved with his parents to Clay county, Iowa in 1871 and resided on a farm in Riverton township, removing to Spencer in 1883.
He was united in marriage to Alta Brown, daughter of Rev. Brown, deceased, in 1891. In 1892 they moved to Minnesota, the following year, his last residence being at Montevideo.
Theodore Secor was well known in this vicinity and had many friends. He has two sisters living here, Mrs. Thos. Babcock and Mrs. T.H. Jones. The body was brought to Spencer Friday evening and taken to the home of his sister, Mrs. T.H. Jones, and the funeral was held Sunday afternoon from the Jones home, being conducted by Rev. O.M. Bond, pastor of the Methodist church, and the interment was in Riverside cemetery.
