Angela Marie Drake, the daughter of Harold and Audrey (Clasing) Drake, was born March 5, 1963 in Iowa City, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Spencer, Iowa, where she received her education at Spencer Elementary, Middle and Spencer High School, graduating in 1980. She completed her education at Iowa Lakes Community College, graduating from the Medical Assistant Program.

On July 8, 2006, Angie was united in marriage to the love of her life and soul mate, Dean Garner.

Among her many ventures were riding in RAGBRAI (two years), sky diving, horseback riding, white water rafting, and mooning, frequently. Spending time with her grandchildren took center stage.

She was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. Angie was very much a cancer survivor.

Angie passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at the age of 43. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Audrey Drake.

She is survived by her husband, Dean of Spencer; her daughter, Megan of Emmetsburg, IA; her son, Jesse of Mason City, IA; a stepson, Israel of Spencer; a stepdaughter, Jennifer and her husband, Jason Braunschweig of Lawton, IA; two brothers: Todd Drake and his wife, Michelle of Washington, D.C. and Doug Drake and his wife, Mary of Denver, Colorado; her grandchildren: Drake, Riley, Parker, Tyson and Dylan; one nephew, Douglas and twin nieces: Sydney and Haley. She also leaves behind, her beloved four legged pal, Jaygee and many, many dear friends. Honey, her toy poodle, will also be with her. Angelas spirit, warmth and energy will be with all of us forever.
