Minnie (Heikens) Hedeen
August 16, 1894-July 22, 1978

Graveside services for Mrs. Minnie Hedeen, 83, of Port Byron, Illinois, and formerly of the Clay County area, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Summit Township Cemetery. The Rev. Harold Lovestrand will officiate.

Mrs. Hedeen died July 22 at the Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, Illinois

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 3p.m. at the Dailey-Gibson Funeral Home in Port Byron, Illinois.

Mrs. Hedeen was born August 16, 1894, in Clay County, the daughter of Richard and Etta (Aahrens) Heikens. She married Will Meyer in 1918 and he died in 1938. She married Henning Hedeen in 1947. He died in 1974.

Survivors include two sons, Elmer W. Meyer of Los Altos, California, and Paul Hedeen of East Moline, Illinois; three daughters, Ruth McDonough of Oceanside, California, Marie Bierdeman of Aurora, California and Esther Hedeen of Port Byron, Illinois; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
