Alvina Mae (Meyer) Haugen
June 14, 1912-July 17, 1998

Alvina Mae Haugen, 86, Emmetsburg,died Tuesday, July 14, 1998, at North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at United Methodist Church, Emmetsburg, with the Rev. David Crow officiating.

Burial will be at Summit Cemetery, Spencer, with Martin-Mattice Funeral Home, Emmetsburg, in charge of arrangements.

Alvina Mae Haugen, the daughter of Charles and Louise Meyer, was born June 14, 1912, at Sutherland, where she received her education.

On September 5, 1932 she married Palmer James Haugen in Dakota City, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her busband; her parents; two brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Haugen is survived by three children; Stella Johnson of Orleans, Nebraska; Russell Haugen of San Bernardino, Californi; and Margaret Miller of Emmetsburg; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sister; Mabel Williams of Portland, Oregon and Mildred Wells of Spencer.
