Victor Vanderhoff, 84, of Ruthven and Dickens areas, died Thursday, May 13, at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetshurg.

Funeral services were Monday, May 17, at the Warner Chapel, Spencer, with the Rev. Darrell Eichhorn officiating.

Casket Bearers; Brett Vanderhoff, Ed Breidinger, John Vanderhoff, Russell Vanderhoff, Doug Vanderhoff and Scott Breidinger.

Burial was in the First Reformed Cemetery, Everly, with Warner Funeral Home, Spencer, in charge of arrangements.

The son of Aite and Anna (Goldenstein) Vanderhoff, he was born October 22, 1908, in Everly. His childhood years were spent in the communities of Everly and Ruthven and it was in the township country schools that he received his early education.

During much of his adult life Mr. Vanderhoff lived with relatives in the Ruthven and Dickens areas, helping on family farms.

In 1978, Mr. Vanderhoff became a resident of the Dickinson County Care Facility. He lived there until moving to the Ruthven Care Center in 1990.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Interment in First Reformed Church cemetery
