Eite D. Roskens
February 7, 1915-June 17, 1993Services for Eite D. Roskens, age 78, were held June 19, 1993 at the First Reformed Church in Everly. Officiating was Rev. Ervin Voogd.

Eite D. Roskens, the son of Dick and Gertie (Meyer) Roskens, was born February 7, 1915 in Everly. His childhood years were spent in the Everly community and it was there that he received his early education. After graduating from high school, Eite began farming.
On January 1, 1939, Eite married Aline Kaiser in Milford. Throughout most of their married life they made their home on the farm on which Eite began farming. It was not until 1987, after 49 years of farming, that Eite and Aline moved to Spencer.
Eite was a member of the First Reformed Church near Everly, where he had serves as both Sunday School teacher and superintendent and on the church board. He had served on the Everly School Board, president of the Everly Telephone Company for 25 years and custodian of the First Reformed Cemetery for 30 years.
Mr. Roskens passed away at the Spencer Municipal Hospital on June 17, 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents and on granddaughter, Lisa Marie.
Eite is survived by his wife, Aline; two sons and their wives, Gaylen and Christina Roskens of Melvin and A. Bruce and Nadine Roskens of Naperville, Illinois; one daughter and her husband, Donna and Bill Carlson of Odebolt; nine grandchildren; 2 sisters, Hanna and Hilda Roskens, both of Everly; other relatives and friends.
Interment was at the First Reformed Cemetery in Everly.
Warner Funeral Home in Spencer was in charge of the arrangements.
