William Ringering
April 23, 1902-September 16, 1979Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, September 19 for William Ringering, 77, of Everly at the First Reformed Church near Everly. Rev. Arie Blok officiated and interment was at the First Reformed Cemetery of Everly.
Mr. Ringering died September 16, 1979 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.
Bearers; Ray Dirksen, Ray Marsh, Richard Schmidt, Walter Schmidt, Dean Tiam and Elvon Tiam.
Mr. Ringering was born April 23, 1902 in Waterford Township, the son of John and Ida (Groenewold) Ringering. He received his early education in the country schools near Everly. He began farming in the Everly area. He continued to farm in the Everly community until retiring in 1968. He lived his entire life on the same farm.
He married Hilda Kromminga on January 27, 1931, at First Reformed parsonage near Everly.
Since June of this year, he was a resident of Longhouse Residence in Spencer.
He was a member of the First Reformed Church near Everly. Since June 1979 he had been a resident of Longhouse at Spencer.
Survivors include his widow, Hilda of Everly; three sisters, Mrs. Theodore (Hanna) Dirksen and Mrs. Mary Schmidt of Everly and Mrs. Ira (Martha) Tiam of Sherburn, Minnesota; one brother-in-law, George E. Schmidt of Spencer, relatives and friends.Among the relatives is nephew, Robert Schmidt of Hartley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mrs. Gertie Schmidt; two nieces and one nephew.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
