George Ringering
August 10, 1852-May 23, 1929

George Ringering, resident of Waterford Township for the past forty-three years, died at his home northeast of Everly, Iowa, Thursday, May 23, 1929, after an illness of nearly a year. At the rime of his death he was 78 years, 9 months and 7 days of age.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Ringering home followed by rites held at the Cromwell Center Reformed Church with the Rev. E. Kampmann, Pastor, officiating. Burial was made in the Cromwell Center Cemetery.

Mr. Ringering was born in Pewsum. Ostfriesland, Germany, August 10, 1852 and came to America in the year 1882. After he had made his home for four years in the vicinity of Ackley, Iowa, he came to Clay County, moving to a farm in Waterford Township.

He was married December 14, 1893 to Mrs. M. DeNeui. He leaves to mourn his death his wife and four step children, two brothers, John Ringering of Everly, Iowa and Jacob Ringering of Brainard, Minnesota, two sisters, Mrs. B. Boyenga of Ackley, Iowa and Mrs. J. Rademaker of Emden, Illinois, besides other relatives and many friends.

The decreased was a faithful member of the Cromwell Center Reformed Church. His death is a great loss to the church, the community and to the members of his family.

The relatives attending the funeral services from a distance were John DeNeui and B Boyenga of Ackley, Iowa, Henry Peters Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Herman Johnson, Henry and Stena Peters and Ted Burma, all of Chancellor, South Dakota, Fred and Henry Randt and son of Maynard, Minnesota, Rev. George Kramer of Sibley, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Harm Kuper, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bruins and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Wheelhouse and children of Lennox, South Dakota.
