Lubert W. Meyer
February 1, 1891-March 22, 1960

Lubert W. Meyer died on March 22. He was born February 1, 1891, in Clay County, Iowa, and had attained the age of 60 years. Death came after a lingering illness at the Spencer Municipal Hospital, Spencer, where Mr. Meyer had been a patient.

On February 11, 1915, Lubert Meyer was united in marriage to Lena Zishka at Fostoria. The Meyer home was established north of Everly, where Mr. Meyer engaged in farming. He retired in January of 1955 and moved to Spencer, where he resided until the time of his death.

Mr. Meyer's parents were Mr. and Mrs. Wiebe S. Meyer. Mrs. Meyer preceded her husband in death. Eight children were born to this union, including a daughter who died in infancy.

Mr. Meyer was a member of the First Reformed Church of Everly, and is survived by; seven children; Harold of Spencer; Donald of Everly; Margaret, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Calvin of Terril; Lucille, Mrs. Gerald Stravers, Pella; Gertrude, Mrs. Lloyd Triggs, Dickens; Leonard, Everly; two sisters; Mrs. John Beving and Mrs. Conrad Winterboer, both of Everly; ten grandchildren; Sandra and Susan Meyer, Diane Meyer, Randall, Linda and Jean Stravers, David and Janet Triggs, Cheryl and Deborah Meyer.

Services from the First Reformed Church, March 25, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Peter J. Yff officiating. Burial in First Reformed Church Cemetery.

Warner Funeral Home, Spencer was in charge of arrangementss.
