Obituary of Mrs. Lubbert Meyer

Mrs. Lubbert Meyer, nee Lena Zishka, died Tuesday, July 20, 1954, at the Spencer Hospital. She was born November 26, 1891, and attained the age of 62 years, 7 months and 24 days.

Mrs. Meyer was born at Summit Township, Clay County, Iowa. Her parents were Carl and Minnie Zishka.

February 11, 1915, at Fostoria, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Lubbert W. Meyer. During her 39 years of married life she established in the Everly community. She was an active and treasured member of the First Reformed Church, Everly.

She is survived by seven children; Harold Meyer, Donald Meyer, Margaret Meyer and Calvin Meyer, all of Everly; Mrs. Gerald (Lucille) Stravers, Pella; Gertrude Meyer, Spencer, and Leonard Meyer of Fort Worth, Texas (Carsville Air Base), three grandchildren; Randall and Linda Stravers, Pella; Sandra K. Meyer, Everly.

There are also four sisters, one brother; Mrs. Minnie Bleeker and Mrs. Selma Quee, Spencer; Mrs. Oscar Stensland, Burbank, California; Mrs. Henry Quee, Thayer; Carl Zishka, Alameda, California.

One sister and two brothers, Anna Winterboer, Gustav and Otto, preceded her in death, as did her infant daughter, Marion Charlotte.

Officiating Clergyman was Rev. Peter J. Yff. Services were held from First Reformed Church and interment was in the First Reformed Church Cemetery.
