January 30, 1916-July 14, 1990Funeral services in memory of Harold Wiebe Meyer of Everly were held at the First Reformed Church of rural Everly at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 1990. Rev Steven Hyma officiated.
Casket Bearers: Orville Bleeker, Don Nielsen, Merlin Beving, Ray Kaiser, Ray Dirksen and Clarence Birchard.
Interment was at the First Reformed Cemetery, rural Everly, Iowa. Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Harold Wiebe Meyer, the son of Lubert and Lena (Zishka) Meyer, was born on January 30, 1916, in Clay County, Iowa. He was raised on a farm in Waterford Township and attended country school in Waterford Township.
Harold lived in the Everly area his entire life. He worked for Slagle Lumber Yard and also from Harms Implement Company. While living in the Everly area, he was member of the First Reformed Church and for many years he lit the furnace and handed out bulletins in church.
On July 14, 1990, Mr. Meyer passed away at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 74. He preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Marian and two brothers; Calvin and Leonard.
Harold is survived by one brother; Donald and his wife, Lillian of Sanborn, Iowa; three sisters; Margaret Meyer of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Lucille and her husband Gerald Stravers of Pella, Iowa, Gretrude and her husband, Lloyd Triggs of Dickens, Iowa, two sisters-in-law; Sue Meyer of Spencer and Joy Meyer of Big Springs, texas; as well as other relatives and friends.
