Donald Wayne Klett
December 6, 1920- February 23, 1989

Services in memory of Donald Wayne Klett were held 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 27, 1989, at First Reformed Church of Everly. Rev. Steve Hyma officiated.

Casket Bearers: Carl Winterboer, Gale Klett, Steve Roskens, Don Nielsen, Ray VanderBroek and Mark Schmid. Interment in the First Reformed Cemetery, Everly.

Donald Klett, the son of C.W. and Mabel (Hakeman) Klett, was born December 6, 1920, on the farm 8 1/2 miles northwest of Everly. He attended grade school in Westport Township and graduated from Everly High School in 1937.

On March 7, 1942, he married Mildred Roskens in South Sioux City, Nebraska. To this union were born three children; Linda, Karen and Gary. Following their marriage, they continued to farm northwest of Everly and it was there that Donald lived until the time of his death.

While living in Everly, he was a member of the First Reformed Church, Sunday School Superintendent, served on the consistory, the A.S.C. Committee, past school board member and many other jobs that he enjoyed very much.

On February 23, 1989, Donald passed away at the Marian Health Center in Sioux City, at the age of 68. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother Dayle.

Donald is survived by his wife, Mildred; two daughters; Linda Klett of Plymouth, Minnesota; Mrs. Pat (Karen) Mathena of Edgan, Minnesota; one son and his wife; Gary and Marcia Klett of Everly; two grandchildren, Allison and Shanda; his mother, Mabel Klett of Spencer; three brothers; Forrest of Everly; Duane of Corydon; Jerry of Downey, California; three sisters; Cleone Farquhar of Spencer; Mrs. Loren (Karen) Wilson of Milford; Mrs. Dick (Delma) Terpstra of Waterloo; as well as other relatives and many relatives.
