Richard H. Kaiser, Milford, passed away January 1, 1988, at his home of apparent heart failure.

Services fro Mr. Kaiser were held Monday, January 4, at 11 a.m. at the Union Memorial Church in Milford with Rev. Leonard Root officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ace Corey, Lester Jungers, Bruce Nonneman, Ruby Schoorman, Ed Stokes and Larry Wintz.

Pallbearers; Keith Baker, Herb Belz, Jom Cook, Val Likens, Dale Renaud and Everett Roberts.

Richard Kaiser was born December 24, 1926 at Schaller, Iowa to George and Anna (Stille) Kaiser. The family moved to a farm southwest of Milford where he graduated from the Okoboji High School.

He was married to Rhoda Thiessen, June 3, 1950 at Everly, and they made their home on the family farm until moving to the lakes area in 1974.

"Dick" had many community interests. He was Department Commander of the Iowa American Legion in 1976 and later was National Committeman for Iowa. He was also active in the V.F.W., Farm Bureau, Boy Scouts, Little League, 4-H and F.F.A. He was presently President of the three county Farm Service Company and was active in the Republican Party. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in the Pacific in the United States Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Rhoda; children; Mrs. Bruce (S.Vance) Hjelm, Lake Park; Mrs. Mark (Shelley) Donkersloot, Sanborn and Thomas of Milford; brother, Ray of Milford; sisters, Mrs. Eite (Aline) Roskens of Spencer; Mrs. Richard (Audrey) Thiessen of Everly, and Mrs. Thomas (Alice) Rebec of Florida, and four grandchildren, Melanie, Laramie and Jens Hjellm, and Ashley Donkersloot.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Paul and Matthew.

Interment was in the First Reformed Cemetery of Everly, Iowa with Military Graveside Rites by the Milford American Legion Post 384.

Turner Funeral Home of Milford was in charge of arrangements.
