Funeral Friday for Mrs. Fries

Funeral for Mrs. Anna Fries, 89, of Fostoria, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Warner Chapel. Rev. Gerald Hallauer will officiate. Burial will be at First Reformed Cemetery, Everly.

Bearers: Elmer Sonius, Will Schroeder, Jerry Clark, Robert Marsh, Henry Damerow and Fred Eachen.

Mrs. Fries died Wednesday at the Longhouse Residence where she had been living the past two years.

She was born February 26, 1880, in Davenport, the daughter of Peter and Amelia Steuben. She was married March 21, 1900, at Spencer to Thomas Fries. He died June 12, 1934.

She had lived on a farm northwest of Spencer 35 years.

Mrs. Fries is survived by three sons, George of Milford, Thomas of Graettinger and Frederick of Royal; four daughters, Mrs. George W. Clark of Spencer, Mrs. Lloyd Maurek of Austin, Minnesota, Mrs, Arthur Morrow of Spencer, Mrs. Duane McCurdy of Spencer; 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers also survive; Peter and Ben Steuben of Everly, and three sisters, Mrs. Herman Ott of Everly, Mrs. Fred Sierck of Loveland, Colorado and Mrs. John Schornberg of Spencer.
