Adrian Micheal (Ed) Dykstra, 87, of Everly, died Monday, December 3, 1990, at St Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 7, at Hope Reformed Church, Spencer, with the Revs, Perry DeGroot and Paul Bussert officiating.

Burial will be in the First Reformed Cemetery, Fostoria. The Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Casket Bearers: Tim Galm, Rodney Dykstra, Brian Dykstra, Randall Dykstra, David Dykstra and Todd Dykstra.

Mr. Dykstra was born December 25, 1902, to Jacob and Elizabeth (Vandenberg) Dykstra in Sioux County. His childhood years were spent in Springfield and Monroe, South Dakota, where he received his education. After completing his schooling, he helped his father on the family farm.

On January 16, 1924, he married Dorothy Louise Dykstra in Monroe, South Dakota, After farming in 10 years near Monroe, the couple moved to Iowa in 1934 and farmed in the Everly community until 1965, when they retired and moved to Everly. He was an active member of First Reformed Church of Everly, and later the Hope Reformed Church in Spencer.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; one son; one brother, Henry; and one sister.

He is survived by three sons and their wives; Elmer and Gloria of Spencer, Vernon and Patricia of Hartley and Lester and Barbara of Everly; two daughters and their husbands; Dorothy and Edwin Galm of Moneta and Betty Jane and Leonard Bonker of Harlingen, Texas; 20 grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Wieman of Canistota, South Dakota and Nettie Schaafsma of Red Way, California.
