PETERSON RITES HELD LAST WEEK

Mrs. Fred A. Peterson, 48, of Peterson township passed away at her home Sunday morning, Mar. 10 following a four weeks' sickness of pneumonia with complications. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church in Peterson conducted by Rev. C.A. Hyde. Interment was made at Oakland cemetery in Peterson.

Trella Keene was born in Spring township, Cherokee county, Sept. 30, 1886. She was the second daughter of Samuel A. and Olivia Keene. From the time she was four years old until her marriage she lived in Sutherland.

She was united in holy wedlock with Fred A. Peterson, on Dec. 20, 1905, and they established their home on a farm which is still the family home. To this union were born two daughters, Thelma, Mrs. Harold Kink and Lorain, Mrs. Rients Terpstra, both of Hartley.

Mrs. Peterson was ever devoted to her family and home and performed gladly any service to promote their interests. She endeared herself to all who knew her by her sweet disposition and her kindly, sympathetic nature. Even during her last illness when her body was racked with pain she thought of the comfort of those about her and sought to spare them labor and worry.

All that loving hands and professional services could were done to alleviate her suffering and restore her to health and for these efforts she expressed her most fervent thanks.

In her last hours she was resigned and happy to go and left a parting message with each member of the family who was present at the beside and asked that messages be conveyed to those who were absent. She reiterated her faith in her Savior and her assurance that he has atoned for all transgressions.
