Alice Mabelle (Jelden) Dillingham
September 18, 1914-September 26, 1992Alice Mabelle Dillingham, 78, of Everly, died Saturday, September 26, 1992 in Hartley.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hope Lutheran Church in Everly with the Rev. Duane Baun officiating.
Casket Bearers; Kevin Dillingham, Mark Dillingham, Mark Fredericks, Scott Kolbeck, Mike Salonen and Steve Wolthuis.
Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly. The Baumbarten Funeral Home of Hartley is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dillingham, the daughter of John and Sophia (Moeller) Jeldon, was born September 18, 1914, on the home farm south of Everly. She graduated from Everly High School in 1932 and was a lifetime Everly resident.
She married Verlyn (Barb) Dillingham on April 25, 1934 at Canton, South Dakota. They were later divorced. She operated a dinner club for many years and had a Stanley Home Products dealership for 28 years. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Everly.
Mrs. Dillingham was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
She is survived by four sons; Larry and his wife Doweene, of San Antonio, Texas, Lanny and his wife Ardine of Harris, Dennis and his wife Linda of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Randy of Everly; 12 grandchildren; nine great-granchildren; one sister Mabel Dempsey of Everly, and one brother and his wife, Grover and Ora Jelden of Harrisburg, Oregon.
