September 20, 1895-September 1982Funeral services for Louis August Dehrkoop, 87, Everly, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Everly. The Rev. Thomas Munn will officiate and burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly.
Casket Bearers; Ted Fisher, Fred Schmidt, Morris Fell, Virgil Morrow, Joe LeClair and Carl Winterboer.
Honorary Bearers; Ed Monahan, Virgil Treimer, Leon Harris, Ed Roskens, Bill Morris, Art Schoelerman, and LeRoy Sweeney.
Louis Dehrkoop was born September 20, 1895 in Everly, the son of Theodore and Mary (Moeller) Dehrkoop. He attended school near his home and married Viola Mayou on March 11, 1925 in Spencer. They farmed north of Everly until retiring in 1960. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
He died Monday, September-1982 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital. Preceding in death were his parents; one brother Fred; and two sisters, Anna and Mabel.
Survivors include two sons; Cliff Dehrkoop, Everly, and Philip VanHouten, Abilene, Texas; one daughter, Connie Williams, Spencer; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Baumgarten Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of the service arrangements.
