Harley A Cranston
July 23, 1895-April 1966

Harley A. Cranston, 70, died at the Spencer Hospital Wednesday after a long illness. He had been a resident of Longhouse for two years and hospitalized the past five days.

Mr. Cranston was born July 23, 1895, at Everly and married Gladys Flint at Spencer, October 12, 1920. He farmed here in Westport all his life until his retirement seven years ago where they moved to 1209 2nd Ave East, at Spencer.

He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Cleone Cranston and Mrs. Ervin Behrens, two sons, Raymond and Merlyn and eight grandchildren all of this area. Three brothers, Ray and Ralph of Rochester, Minnesota and one sister, Mrs. D.H. Sonius of Spencer.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2p.m. from the Warner Chapel in Spencer with Rev. Lyle Lieder officiating with burial in the Lone Tree Cemetery at Everly.

Those attended services from here were Mr. and Mrs. Marion Flint, Mr. and Mrs. Harm Meyer, Mr. and Mrs. Verland Meyer, Mr. Jake Meyer and Lola Meyer, Mrs. Virgil Fliss, Mrs. Cliff Muilenberg, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Winterboer, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Neilsen, Mr.and Mrs. Edwin Bates, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Klett, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cranston and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Behrens and family.
