Gladys Ione (Flint) Cranston
June 23, 1897-December 1979Services for Gladys Ione Cranston, 82, of Spencer were held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Baumgarten Funeral Chapel in Spencer. Interment was at the Lone Tree Cemetery at Everly.
Rev. Keith Davison officiated at the services.
Pallbearers; Marion Flint, Jim Cranston, Ray Meyer, Leonard Adams, Adrian Coover and Bill Flint.
Cranston, the daughter of William and Louise (Hoskins) Flint, was born June 23, 1897 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. She was raised in Westport Township near Everly. She also taught in a country school before her marriage.
She married Harley Cranston in Spencer on October 12, 1920. They farmed near Everly before retiring and moving to Spencer in 1960.
Cranston died Monday at Spencer Municipal Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harley in 1966; a brother, Roy; a sister, Lula; and a daughter, Colene Behrens.
She is survived by a daughter, Cleone, a resident of Longhouse Residence in Spencer; two sons, Raymond of Everly and Merlyn of Lakefield, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. Ethel Adams of Everly.
Baumgarten Funeral Home is in charge of the service arrangements.
