March 28, 1918-August 17, 1988

Services for Thomas Farrell Brandt, 70, of Spencer and formerly of Everly, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Warner Chapel.

Mr. Brandt died Wednesday, August 17, 1988, at Spencer Municipal Hospital.

The Rev. Eugene T. Schumacher will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Lone Tree, Everly.

Casket Bearers; Paul Brandt, Thomas Brandt, Doug Pingel, Robert Brandt, Darwin Tielbur and Dale Hollesen.

The son of Alfred and Clara Brandt, he was born March 28, 1918, in Marcus. His childhood years were spent in that community and it was there that he received his early education.

He married Dorothy Irene Tielbur on January 16, 1944, in Spencer. They lived in Cedar Rapids for a short time following their marriage, where he worked for Collins Radio. While employed there, he received a certificate of merit. They later moved to Everly and then Milford, before returning to Everly. For a number of years. Mr. Brandt worked for Schoenewe's and later for the city of Everly, retiring April 14, 1977.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and one son, David.

Sirvivors include three sons, Robert and his wife Marion of Sheldon, Paul and his wife Marcia of Westfield, and Thomas of Spencer; one daughter, Patricia Freeburg of Spencer; and four grandchildren.
