Gertrude (Lepper)(Murray) Behrends
July 5, 1906-June 27, 1979

Funeral for Gertrude (Murray) Behrends, 72, of Everly was held Saturday afternoon, June 30, from Hope Lutheran Church of Everly.

Pastor Norman Stubbendick officiated. Burial was at Lone Tree cemetery at Everly.

Bearers; Art Schoelerman, Bert Brock, Boyd Walton, Clifford Fear, Edwin Keefer and Cliff Pettit.

Mrs. Behrends died Wedneday June 27, at the Hartley Community Hospital.

She was born July 5, 1906, to Joseph and Frances (Riemers) Lepper at Holland, Minnesota.

On June 27, 1924, she was married to William J. Murray at Emmetsburg. They moved back to Holland, Minnesota, then to the Everly area. He died in 1964. On February 17, 1976, she was married to Jack Berhrends at Jackson, Minnesota. He died in 1977.

Surviving are four sons; Kenneth Murray of Hampton; Clifford Murray of Hudson, Iowa; William J. Murray, Jr. of Warwick, Rhode Island and Marvin Murray of Onawa; a daughter, Mrs. Perry (Marjorie) Cederholm of New Orleans, Louisana; 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Mrs. L.J. (Violet) Wittfoth of Beaver Bay, Minnesota and Mrs. Alvin (Gertie) Heidebrink of Holland, Minnesota; a brother Vernon Lepper of Milaca, Minnesota and two sisters, Lena Rommell of Alden, Iowa and Mrs. Marvin (Caroline) Peterson of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two brothers and a sister.

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements
