William Christian Baumeister
September 14, 1898-April 1982Funeral services for William Christian Baumeister, 83, of Everly, will be Friday at 11 am at the United Methodist Church in Everly. Officiating wil be the Rev. Allen Wiese, with the burial in the Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly.
Casket Bearers: Russell Baumeister, Bill Ballhorn, Dennis Ballhorn, Randall Baumeister, David Baumeister and Roger Veum.
William Christian Baumeister was born September 14, 1898 in Everly, the son of Henry and Lulu (Southwell) Baumeister. He received his education in the country schools, and later began farming. He was married to Osa Carr on December 31, 1919 in Spencer and they moved into Everly in 1955. He retired in 1967.
A member of the United Methodist Church in Everly, was an active member of the Masons. He received his Entered Apprentice Degree on September 20, 1926 and was raised to the degree of Master Mason on October 26, 1926. He received his 50 year membership on October 26, 1976 and was currently a a member of Evening Shade Lodge #312 AF &AM of Spencer.
He died Tuesday at the Hartley Community Hospital in Hartley. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Osa, of Everly; one son Don of Everly; one daughter, LaVonne Balhorn of Sheridan, Wyoming; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harry Baumeister of Everly
The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
