Lillian Baumeister, 89, Everly, died Wednesday, December 4, 1996, at Spencer Municipal Hospital.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 9, 1996, at 10:30 am., at the Hope Lutheran Church, Everly, with the Rev. G. Duane Baum officiating.

Casket Bearers: Gary Scharnberg, Fred Morfitt, Dennis Hebrink, Ralph Eckard, Jr., Joel Hartmann, Roger Meyer and Robert Schoelerman.

Honorary Casker Bearers; Kevin and Pat Adolph and children, Katie and Nicholas, and Tim and Sherri Steffen and children, Molly and Kimberly.

Burial will be at Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly, with Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of arrangements.

Lillian Baumeister, the daughter of Nels Christian and Henriette (Durene) Nielsen, was born May 10, 1907, in Spencer. Her childhood years were spent in the Langdon area, and it was in the country schools that she received her early education.

She married Harry Baumeister on December 23, 1925, in Spencer. They lived in the Everly area throughout their marriage where they farmed for many years. They retired in 1955 and made their home in Everly.

She was a long time member of the Hope Lutheran Church and was involved in the Women's Circle and also had taught Sunday School.

Mrs. Baumeister was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by one sister, Cathryn Sieber of Sun City, Arizona; two nieces, LaVon Ballhorn and her husband, Wally, of Ankeny; and Helen Baumeister of Everly and special friends; Dale and Shirley Adolph of Everly; Kevin and Pat Adolf and their children, Katie and Nicholas, of Everly; Tim and Sherri Steffen and their children, Molly and Kimberly, of Spencer; Lois Smitherman Eckard of Milford; and Nancy Smitherman Hebrink of Wyoming, Minnesota

Interment in Lone Tree cemetery
