Funeral sevices in memory of Harry Maurice Baumeister were held at Hope Lutheran Church in Everly on Wednesday, May 15, 1991 at 2:00 pm. Pastor G. Duane Baun officiated.

Casket Bearers wre Gary Scharnberg, Robert Schoelerman, Joel Hartmann, Wayne Peters, Norm Nielsen and Roger Meyer.

Honorary Bearers were Bert Brock, Boyd Walton, Eldon Paulsen, Robert Scharnberg, Clifford Hartmann and Robert Cuttell.

Interment was at Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly. Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Harry Maurice Baumeister, the son of Henry and Lula (Southwell) Baumeister, was born December 23, 1899, in Everly, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in the Everly community and it was in the country schools that he received his early education.

Harry married Lillian Nielsen on December 23, 1925, in Spencer. they lived in the area throughout their marriage, where Harry farmed for many years. He retired in 1955, and at that time they moved into Everly.

Harry has been a longtime member of the Hope Lutheran Church and served on the church council. In addition to his love of farming Harry enjoyed carpentry and fishing.

Mr. Baumeister passed away at the Spencer Municipal Hospital on May 12, 1991, at the age of 91. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, William.

Harry is survived by his wife, Lillian; one niece and her husband, LaVon and Wally Ballhorn of Rapid City, South Dakota; one nephew and his wife, Don and Helen Baumeister of Everly; some very special friends; Dale and Shirley Adolf of Everly; Kevin and Pat Adolf and their children, Katie and Nicholas of Everly; Tim and Sherrie Steffen and their children, Molly and Kimberly, of Spencer; Lois Smitherman Eckard of Milford; Nancy Smithrman Hilbrink of Wyoming, Minnesota; and many friends.
