June 7, 1923-December 16, 1993Don Elmer Baumeister, 70, Everly, died Thursday, December 16, 1993 at his home in Pharr, Texas.
Casket Bearerss will be Jason Veum, Adam Baumeister, Dennis Ballhorn, Christi Baumeister, Aaron Veum, Bill Ballhorn, Troy Knoploh, Mindy Veum.
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Derek Baumeister, Shane Gammon and Brandon Baumeister.
Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly, with Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of arrangements.
A masonic service will be held by the Evening Shade Lodge #312 AF & AM Spencer.
Don Elmer Baumeister, the son of William and Osa (Carr) Baumeister, was born June 7, 1923, in Clay County. He recieved his early education in Waterford Township and later graduated from Everly High School in 1941.
On November 17, 1946, he married Helen Thorne in Everly. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Royal and Sutherland, before moving back to Everly.
Mr. Baumeister was a member of the United Methodist Churach , the Masonic Lodge #312 AF & AM of Spencer and the OES. He served as a trustee for Waterford Township and also in various leadership roles with township 4-H.
Mr. Baumeister was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Eileen Veum and her husband, Roger, of Chaska, Minnesota, three sons, Russell Baumeister and his wife Lloy, of Las Vegas, Nevada; Randall Baumeister and his wife, Jerri, of Ames and David and Jean of Janesville, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren and one sister, LaVonne Ballhorn of Ankeny
Interment in Lone Tree cemetery
