Lloyd B. Zesiger
February 2, 1904 - March 14, 1997

Funeral services were held at the Everly United Methodist Church, Everly, on Monday, March 17, 1997, for Lloyd Bertram Zesiger, 93. The Rev. Shurmaine McAlphine officiated.

Lloyd was born on February 2, 1904 to Charles William and Lucy Ann (Kelly) Zesiger at Tipton. He graduated from Okoboji Consolidated School.

On November 26, 1927, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Evelyn Lowe at Estherville. They lived at Estherville, Everly, Spirit Lake, Alta and moved back to Everly in 1949 where Lloyd was a tractor mechanic.

Lloyd was a member of the Everly United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and woodworking.

In 1994, he moved to the Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake where he passed away on Friday, March 14, 1997.

Survivors are his children, Verlyn Zesiger and his wife, Linda of Las Vegas, Nevada; Merlyn Zesiger and his wife Virginia of Omaha, Nebraska; Elva Barglof of Terrace Park; and Bill Zesiger and his wife Lola of Everly; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, on March 21, 1996; his parents; daughter Joyce Ohden of Orrick, Mississippi; and two sisters, Beulah Graesing and Nina Bruns.

Interment was in Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly. Turner Funeral Home of Milford was in charge of arrangements.
