Marjorie Evelyn (Lowe) Zesiger
December 24, 1910-March 21, 1996Funeral services were held for Marjorie (Lowe) Zesiger, age 85, on March 26, 1996 at United Methodist Church in Everly with the Rev. Shurmine McAlphine officiating.
Marjorie Evelyn Zesiger was born to Simon and Ruey (Petty) Lowe on December 24, 1910 at Wessington Spring, South Dakota. The family moved to Dickinson County where she graduated from Excelsior School.
On December 26, 1927 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Bertrum Zesiger at Estherville. They lived in Estherville, Everly, Spirit Lake and Alta before returning to Everly in 1949. Marjorie enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and flowers. She was a member of the Everly United Methodist Church.
Marjorie passed away March 21, 1996 at the Hilltop Care Center where she had been resident since 1993.
Surviving are her husband, Lloyd; children, Verlyn Zesiger and wife Linda of Las Vegas, Nevada, Merlyn Zesiger and wife Virginia of Omaha, Nebraska, Elva Barglof of Terrenca Park, Milford, and Bill Zesiger and wife Lola of Everly; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Ruey Lowe; two sisters, Ethel Hartman and Lucill Ewing; brother, Edward Lowe and daughter Joyce Ohden.
Interment was in Lone Tree Cemetery in Everly with Turner Funeral Home of Milford was in charge of arrangements.
