Charles H. VandeMark
June 4, 1870 - January 30,1926Charles H. VandeMark passed away January 30, 1926 at the University Hospital at Iowa City, following a surgical operation and everything that human hands could do for him was done to no avail.
Mr. VandeMark was born at Spirit Lake, Iowa, June 4, 1870, having reached the age of 55 years, 7 months and 26 days, at the tome of his death.
On March 1, 1893, he was united in marriage to Mary Sangl, also of Spirit Lake and this happy union was blessed with two children.
He leaves to mourn their great loss, his grief-stricken wife, his only son, Will of Hartley and his only daughter, Mrs. Edward Zahren of Milford, besides his daughter-in-law and son-in-law, two brothers and one sister, many other relatives and a host of friends.
Mr. VandeMark was a member of the Yeoman lodge at Spirit Lake and was an honest, hard working citizen who enjoyed the respect of his many friends.
Six neighbors acted as pallbearers and the remains were laid to rest in the Lone Tree Cemetery at Everly, Iowa.
