Mrs. Jack (Johanna) Behrends
January 16, 1905-December 1973

Funeral sevices for Mrs. Jack Behrends, 68, of Everly were held Saturday afternoon at the Everly United Methodist Church. Burial was in the the First Reformed Cemetery, Fostoria.

The Rev. David Nelson officiated. Duane Fonley sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and Rock of Ages". Miss Ann Sonius was organist.

Bearers were Leo Gerdes, Kirby Kruse, Farrell Kruse, Edward Behrends, Raymond Hollander and Vernon VanMevern.

She was born January 16, 1905 in Everly, a daughter of Peter and Ida (Janssen) Kruse. She married Jack Behrends in Worthington, Minnesota on September 24, 1926.

Mrs. Behrends who died Thursday in the Spencer Hospital, was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Louis (Violet) Wittfoth of Beaver Bay, Minnesota and Mrs. Alvin (Gertrude) Heidebrink of Holland, Minnesota,; four grandchildren; three brothers Minord Kruse of Everly, George Kruse of Windom, Minnesota, Everett Kruse of Bingham Lake, Minnesota and two sisters, Mrs. Pete (Hilda) Janssen of Fulda, Minnesota and Mrs. Ida Gerdes of Sioux Falls,South Dakota

Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
