A funeral service for Donald Dean Scott, 67, of Greenville, will be held Friday, July 7, 2000, 10:30 a.m. at the Congregational Church in Greenville. The Rev. Tonna Parsons will officiate at the service. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery in Greenville. Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Scott died July 1, 2000.

Donald Dean Scott, the son of Orville and Julia Scott, was born September 23, 1931, in Chillicothe, Mo. His family moved to Spencer in the 1950s.

On October 23, 1959, he married Patricia Block in Spencer. In 1961 they moved to the Greenville area. For many years, Mr. Scott was a painter. He was the fire chief of Greenville Fire and Rescue for 20 years, a member of the Clay County Emergency Medical Services Association and the Iowa Fireman Association. He was also active in the Little League program in Spencer and helped with it inception.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Julia Scott.

Mr. Scott is survived by his wife Pat of Greenville; his children; Dean and Christy Scott of Grafton, Donald and Lisa Scott of Greenville, Kimberly and Terry Woolery of Sartell, Minnesota, and Donna and David Koch of Greenville; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Billie Eugene Scott and his wife, Alice of Moneta; one sister-in-law Claudia Wilson and her husband, Grant of Ringsted; other relatives and friends.
