Nancy Rae Scholten, 56, of Greenville, passed away April 17, 2005, at the McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services will be held today, Wednesday, April 20 at 1 p.m. in the Warner Funeral Chapel in Spencer.

Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Greenville.

Casket bearers include Danny Bisaillon, Mike Lloyd, Chad Trierweiler, Kenny Stewart, Jim Umscheid Jr., and Casey Lawson. Honorary casket bearers included; Paula Trierweiler, Jody Clark, Clint Trierweiler, Tony Trierweiler, Donna Koch, and Ben Bisaillon.

Nancy, the oldest daughter of Ray and Mickey (MacRunnels) Schoning, was born April 24, 1948 in Spirit Lake. Her childhood years were spent in Algona where she received her early education and graduated from Spencer High School in 1966.

On May 24, 1980, Nancy was united in marriage to Ralph Scholten at the Greenville Congregational Church. Following their marriage, they remained in Greenville where she worked at the Greenville Post Office for many years. Nancy served on the Greenville City Council and was a day care provider for the EMT response team of Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her father, infant twin daughter Paula, and father-in-law Mike Scholten.

Nancy is survived by her husband Ralph, of Greenville; three sons; Scott Richardson and wife Serena, of Fostoria, Travis Scholten of Greenville, and Jayson Scholten and Shere, of Lead, S.D.; two daughters; Patti Wiemann and husband Jeff of Everly, and Deanna Scholten of Sioux Falls, S.D.; her mother Mickey Schoning, of Milford; two sisters; Bonnie Schlauch and her husband Mark, of Grover, and Jody Mula and husband Paul, of San Jose, California; mother-in-law Margaret Scholten of Brandon, S.D. and seven grandchildren
