July 2, 1931- September 20, 1996LeRoy Rees, 65, Greenville, died Friday, September 20, 1996.
Graveside services will be today at Liberty Cemetery, Greenville, with the Rev. Richard Freeburg officiating.
Casket bearers will be Tyke Gustoff Jr., David Lewis, Chad Trierweiler, Terry Hintz, Don Scott Jr., and James Umschied Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tyke Gustoff Sr. and Duane Laird.
Sliefert Funeral Home of Storm Lake is in charge of arrangements.
LeRoy Glenn Rees was born July 2, 1931, to Archie Wendell and Zella Irene (Hulbert)Rees at Alta. The family moved to Greenville, and LeRoy received his education there.
On March 25, 1951, he married LaVaunne Rozell Erick at Jackson. He worked for Rouse Drainage and Sorenson Farm Drainage until his retirement in 1990.
He was preceded in death by his father and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Dennis Rees of Sioux City; four daughters, Vonnie Shouse and her husband, James, of Laurens; Debbie Arthur and her husband, Robert, of Mason City; Jody Burger and her husband, Carl of Laurens; and Shelly Erick Rees of Salt Lake City, Utah; 16 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his mother, Irene Rees of Greenville; two sisters, Delores Glau and her husband George, of Palm Springs, Calif.; and Janice Sparling and her husband, Russell of Boise, Idaho
