Till Marble, 1888-1921

Till Marble, a former well known Spencer young man, passed away at his home in Omaha on Sunday morning, March 6, 1921, following a two days illness of black diptheria. The body, accompanied by his brother, Almon D. Marble, of Percival, Iowa, and cousin, Clarence Botter, of Council Bluffs, was brought to this city Monday for burial in Riverside cemetery.

Till Marble, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Marble, was born at Percival, Iowa, on March 16, 1888, and was at the time of his death 32 years, 11 months and 3 days of age. He grew to young manhood at Percival, Fremont county, Iowa. In March 1909, he moved with his parents to a farm near Blencoe where they lived until the spring of 1912 when they moved to a farm southeast of Spencer. During the spring of 1914 he was converted and united with the Methodist church. On January 15, 1915, he was united in marriage with Miss E. Turner, of Spencer. To this union two sons were born, James Arthur, aged 5 years, and Wilson, aged two and one-half years. Besides his sorrowing wife and children he leaves to mourn his untimely death his mother, Mrs. George W. Rollins of Adrian, Michigan, sister, Mrs. Bert Waldo of Frontier, Minnesota, three brothers, Geo. W. of Detroit, Michigan, Almon D. of Percival and Delos E. of Spencer and numerous friends.

Preceding him in death was his father and one sister who died in infancy.
