Clara Belle Serfling was born in Cherokee county, Iowa, June 7, 1880. She was married to Lee Serfling in 1900 at Spencer, Iowa. To this union was born four children, Thornton Clay, Luella Elizabeth, Rufus and Leonard, all whom survive to mourn the loss of the mother. Besides these there is a husband, a mottier, two brothers and three sisters. She was converted in early life and joined the Methodist church at Peterson, Iowa. She passed away at Greenville, Iowa, Feb. 7, 1915, aged 34 years and 8 months. The family and relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
