November 13, 1904 - May 25, 2002

Edith Olson, 97, Spencer, formerly of Greenville, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at the St. Luke Lutheran Home, Spencer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., May 25, 2002 at the Warner Chapel, Spencer, with Rev. Perry Fruhling officiating

Casket bearers will be Troy Hermstad,Jr., Jay Hermstad, Steve Olson, Mark Olson, Scoatt Stiegelmeyer and Jerod Olson.

Interment will be held at the Liberty Cemetery, Greenville, with Warner Funeral Home of Spencer in charge of the arrangements.

Edith Mae Olson, the daughter of John and Maude (Underhill)Thomas, was born Nov. 13,1904, in Long Prairie, Minn.,and it was there she received her education.

On November 27, 1931, Edith married Oscar Olson in Long Prairie, Minn., and following their marriage, they moved to Greenville, where they farmed. For the past tree Edith has lived at the St Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer.

She was a member of the Friend's Church and the Farm Bureau.

Mrs. Olson was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and six sisters.

She is survived by her husband at the St. Luke Lutheran Home, Spencer; one son, Jon Olson and his wife, Mavis, of Sioux Rapids; one daughter, Janet Hermstad and her husband, Troy of Webb; two sisters Ethel Schwartz and Amy Struba, both of St. Paul, Minn.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; ass well as other relatives and friends.
