June 30, 1913-July 23, 1976Funeral for Mrs. Dave Olson, 63, of Spencer were held Tuesday from Warner Chapel in Spencer.
The Rev. Kenneth Smith officiated. Burial was at Liberty Cemetery at Greenville.
Mrs. Bernard Freeburg, Jr., sang "My Task" and " The Old Rugged Cross" accompanied by Mrs William Wendlandt at the organ.
Bearers were Troy Hermsted, Arland Scott, Harold H. Howe, Donald Schoer, Roger E. Smith and Weldon Pickering.
Mrs. Olson died Friday, July 23 at her home in Spencer.
She was born June 30, 1913, to William and Grace (Hockett) Dungan.
On November 21, 1936, she was married to Dave Olson at Ames.
She attended and graduated from the Marathon schools. She later attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated from Drake University in 1934. She has lived in Spencer since 1937.
Mrs. Olson was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker by occupation.
Surviving are her widower, Dave of Spencer; a son, Gary William Olson of Libertyville, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Roland(Judith Ann) Bohlen of Clear Lake and Mrs. James (Cynthia Sue) Buchanan of Union City, Calif., and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
