Rites Held for Mrs. N. Moriarty
Resident of Greenville Dies Monday at Age of 89
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Friends church in Greenville for Mrs. Nancy J. Moriarty of Greenville who on the 29th of this month would have been 90 years of age. Rev. J. McCracken, pastor, officiated. A prayer service at the home took place at 1:30 o'clock. Interment was in Liberty cemetery south of Greenville.
Mrs. Moriarty died Monday morning at 8:15 o'clock. She had been an invalid since 1930 when she fell and fractured a hip. Since August she has been confined to her bed.
Many Descendants
Born in Indiana March 29, 1845, the daughter of William and Rebecca Jones Clive, Mrs. Moriarty lived in Boone and also in the state of Kansas before coming to this vicinity. Her marriage to John J. Moriarty took place at Boone. Eleven children were born to them, three of whom, with Mr. Moriarty, are deceased.
Surviving Mrs. Moriarty besides the eight children are 43 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. A son, Truman Moriarty, had his home with his mother.
