Lobar Pneumonia Brings Death to Benj. Pitcher

Benjamin Pitcher, 58, of Spencer, died Sunday morning at 4 o'clock at the Swedish hospital in Minneapolis, Minn. He had been a patient there for several days, suffering from lobar pneumonia. He was brought to the hospital from a neighboring town where he had been temporarily residing. The body was brought to Spencer Monday by train.

On Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock prayer services were held at the Cobb funeral home for Mr. Pitcher, Dr. J.O. Thrush being in charge. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. Casket bearers were Minor Sumner, Clayton Riley, A.D. Williamson and A.F. Rubis.

Spencer Relatives

Mr. Pitcher was born July 14, 1876, at Spencer, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Pitcher, Sr. He is survived by two brothers, Homer Pitcher of Lake Okoboji and J.L. Pitcher of Spencer, and three sisters, Mrs. Dolly Walker and Miss Belle Pitcher of Spencer and Mrs. Charles Claypool of St. Louis, Mo.

A group of friends, headed by Shirley Peel, Frank C. Kane and J.J. Burdick, as floral committee, contributed a large floral token, over 52 acquaintances contributing to the fund.
