Jeremiah B. Strohman passed away very suddenly last Monday afternoon at his home in Princetown, Minnesota. Mr. Strohman was hauling hay that afternoon. He fell unconscious from the wagon and was found behing the horses in the middle of the road. He died soon after he lost consciousnness. Mr. Strohman's death was perhaps caused from a weak heart. At the time of his death, Mr. Strohman was 72 years, 8 months and 13 days.
The body was taken to Dickens, Iowa, where funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. Burial was made in the Dickens cemetery.
Jeremiah B. Strohman, the son of Jeremiah and Sarah Strohman was born in Lebanon county, Pennsylvania, where he grew to manhood. On May 31, 1894, at Lebanon, he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Mark. Following their marriage they moved to Illinois, where they made their home until 1906 and then moved to Iowa. To this union thirteen children were born, ten of whom are living, two having died in infancy and a son who passed away six years ago. Those living are Mrs. Henry Kehm of Compton, Ill.; Mrs. Lucy Manus of Mendota, Ill.; Mrs. Joe Carney of Rochelle, Ill.; Mrs. Bert Manners of Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Fred Harves and Mrs. John Flack of Dickens, Iowa, Mrs. John Nissen and Mrs. Earl Jackson of Terril, Iowa, and Mrs. Jerry Strohman of Lake Field, Minnesota.
Mrs. Strohman preceded her husband in death in 1911.
At Everly, Iowa, February 23, 1915 Mr. Strohman wsa united in marriage to Ora Cody. Soon after their marriage they moved to Minnesota, where they were making their home at the time of Mr. Strohman's death. To this union were born two children, Margery and Clarence.
Besides his wife and children, Mr. Strohman leaves to mourn his departure, twenty-nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Jeremiah B. Strohman wsa converted in the Methodist church in Illinois twenty four years ago and lived a quiet Christian life. He was a loving husband, good father and neighbor and had a great many friends.
