Mrs. Estella Turner Thayer died at the home of her parents on east 2nd street, Spencer, Monday noon after an illness of about a month.

Estella was born in Spencer on April 22, 1876, and made Spencer her home until about seven years ago when she moved to Montevideo, Minnesota, with her parents.

She was married May 16, 1909, to Herbert L. Thayer, of Rapid City, South Dakota, and made her home at that place. About a month ago, on account of failing health, she came home and was taken worse.

Mrs. Thayer was a member of the Methodist church and took an active interest in the affairs of the church. When she left Spencer she transferred her membership from here, but where she lived she took an active interest in church work. She was of a cheerful disposition, and will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends.

She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, parents, five brothers and four sisters, and a host of friends.

The funeral will be held this afternoon at the home. The services to be conducted by Rev. O. M. Bond, the interment to be in Riverside cemetery.
