The following is the obituary and account of funeral services held last Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Elizabeth Bell, who passed away Monday, December 4, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. E. MacDuffie, 363 East Fifth street, where she had made her home since in July. Death was from carcinoma.

Mrs. Bell was born in Canada November 23, 1853, and grew to young womanhood there. Upon entering the United States she made her home at Mankato, Minn., Kasota, Minn., and for the past 35 years had been a resident of Sanborn, Minn. Mr. Bell passed away five years ago in June.

Of the six children born to this union, three survive, Mrs. MacDuffie of this city, Mrs. T. O. Gleason of Los Angeles, Calif., and Sewall Bell of Las Vegas, Nev. She also has two sisters, Mrs. A. Berry of White Plains, N. Y., and Mrs. James Norris of Osokis, Minn., and ten grandchildren. Memorial services were held last Wednesday at the M. E. church in Sanborn, Rev. S. D. Koerner of Springfield, Minn., in charge. Rev. L. E. Eads, pastor at Valley Springs, S. D., delivered the funeral sermon.

Interment was in the Sanborn cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. MacDuffie and children who were in Sanborn since last Tuesday, returned home on Thursday evening.
