THE OBITUARY OF MRS. H. B. PAIGE
THE PASSING OF A PIONEER
Mrs. Katherine Paige Passed Away at Her Home, East River St.,Monday, May 13thKatherine Simington was born April 21, 1845, near Hamilton, Canada, was married to Heil B. Paige March 6, 1871, in Spencer, and died May 13, 1912, at her home in Spencer on East River street. She and her family came to Spencer in 1872. She had lived in the house in which she died for thirty-seven years. She had suffered from the relentless Brights disease for several years. Mrs. Morgan, her daughter from Idaho, has been with her and tenderly ministered to her for the past few months. She leaves two brothers Will Simington at Dickens and Sam Simington of Spencer. She was the happy mother of three children, Charles F. of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Florence Morgan of Idaho, and Mrs. Mary Carvey of Omaha, Neb. The funeral was held from the home Friday afternoon conducted by Rev. C. V. Pence, her pastor. Mrs. Harry Charles of Clear Lake, a relative of the deceased, was in attendance at the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan had been with her since last fall. The family express their hearty appreciation of the great kindness shown them in this time of sorrow.
