Mrs. C. Meadows, Dies Wednesday Rites Held Sunday

Following an illness of three years, Mrs. Clara Meadows, passed away Wednesday evening, December 6, at the home of her son, Jeff Meadows, 761 East Second street, with whom she had made her home since in 1925. She had been confined to her bed for the past two weeks, death coming from an affliction of carcinoma.

Last rites were held Sunday afternoon at the Cobb Funeral Home at two o'clock, conducted by Rev. Forrest L. Richeson, pastor of the Christian church. Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. S.R. Axe, singing "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Jesus Is Tenderly Calling Thee Home," Mrs. Frances Ross accompanying at the piano.

Riverside Burial

Burial took place in Riverside cemetery, Dan Green, Ray Green, L.W. Green, Roy Muetzel, Charles Rosenberg and Alfred Steinberg acting as casket bearers.

Mrs. Meadows attended the Christian church, and belonged to the Spencer chapter of Royal Neighbors of America who assisted in the funeral services.

Four children survive Mrs. Meadows, Mr. Meadows passing away in 1925. They are Albert Meadows of Des Moines; Mrs. Fred G. Green, 110 South Main Street, Mrs. Glen Evjy, Spencer, and Jeff Meadows.
