Our community was saddened by the death of Mr. E. C. Bisbee, a well known resident, which occurred Thursday, May 5, at his home near Langdon. Mr. Bisbee had been in ill health since Christmas, though he took to his bed only about a week before his death. His family were constantly with him and Mrs. Ellen Rider assisted in caring for him. Funeral services were held at the home at one o'clock and at one thirty o'clock at the Methodist church in Langdon Monday afternoon. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery at Spencer. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife, his daughter, Mrs. Harry Thomas, and four grandchildren; also a sister, Mrs. Tinkham of Spencer, and one brother, besides a host of friends by whom he will be greatly missed. Those from away who came to attend the funeral were Mrs. Laura Ryan and daughter Lucille of Danberry, Nebraska, and Mrs. Nell Ashmore of Nora Springs, Iowa, a sister or Mrs. Bisbee. The community extends sincerest sympathy to the bereaved.
